Our Story

Ethical Farmers was founded in 2015 by Mr. Bernard Ranaweera, whose vision was to create a company where farmers would become true partners in international trade rather than simply suppliers of raw materials.

Recognizing that much of the value created in agricultural exports often leaves rural communities, he established Ethical Farmers to build a sustainable business model that returns value directly to farmers through ethical sourcing, value addition, and fair benefit sharing.

In 2025, the company entered a new chapter by commissioning its modern spice processing operations under the leadership of:

As a family-owned enterprise with deep agricultural roots, Ethical Farmers understands the aspirations and challenges of farming communities because our own journey began alongside them.

Today, the company continues to grow with one clear objective: creating long-term prosperity for farmers while supplying exceptional organic products to global markets.
