Our Story
Founder’s Statement
Driven by Purpose, Rooted in Community
When we established Ethical Farmers in 2015, we did so with a simple yet powerful conviction: that a successful business should be a force for good. Sri Lanka is blessed with an extraordinary agricultural heritage—from our world-renowned spices to our nutrient-rich herbs and coconut products. Yet, the true keepers of this heritage, our smallholder farmers, have historically been the most vulnerable to volatile global markets.
Driven by Purpose, Rooted in Community
For us, commercial success is inseparable from the prosperity of our farming communities, the health of our environment, and the trust of our international partners. Today, serving proudly as the Business Arm of the Small Organic Farmers Association (SOFA), we bridge the gap between dedicated local cultivators and conscious consumers worldwide. We ensure that our certified organic spices, herbs, and essential oils are processed using rigorous quality standards, maintaining absolute transparency from farm to export container.
Our guiding principle remains absolute: Ethically Grown. Fairly Shared.
Every product we export represents a commitment to environmental stewardship and fair rewards for the hands that tilled the soil. When you choose Ethical Farmers, you are not just sourcing premium agricultural products; you are actively investing in a sustainable, equitable future for Sri Lanka’s agricultural communities.
